Many children in underprivileged communities attend school without toilets, running water, or buildings that befit a learning ambience. The Adopt a School Initiative connects these schools with concerned individuals, organisations and religious groups who adopt them as part of Corporate Social Responsibility or personal philanthropy.
What we do
- Identify primary and secondary schools with failed amenities and infrastructure.
- Carry out and verify a full needs assessment for each school.
- Match verified schools with donors providing water, sanitation and learning centres.
- Train and equip teachers in both traditional and online teaching methods.
The initiative launched with Apapa Local Government of Lagos State as a prototype and is open to willing LGAs and State Education Boards nationwide.
